Seven People arrested with explosives worth R3.7M

Seven people have been arrested after being found with explosives worth an estimated R3.7 million in Mpumalanga.
It is understood that the authorities received a tip-off that the suspects were selling the explosives around the Tonga area.
The group, including five men and two women, appeared in court on Wednesday where they were granted bail of R1,500.
The Hawks believe the suspects may be part of an illegal network acquiring military explosives from Mozambique.
Spokesperson Dineo Sekgotodi explains: “The police managed to chase those suspects and found illegal explosives, with the estimated value of R3.7 million.”
