Trademark Shumaya hitmakers lose all their music in BURGLARY

Trademark Shumaya hitmakers have been dealt a heavy double blow!
Not only was their studio burgled but they lost all the music they’d been working on.
Promise Mahlangu and Sphiwe Masango said they were working on a new album they hoped to release soon.
On Saturday, the two were at a gig in Venda and went from there to a birthday party in Tshwane.
Promise said he arrived home in Soshanguve’s block UU early on Sunday morning.
He was shocked the next morning to find the studio at his house had been broken into. “The burglars got in through the window. We couldn’t believe our eyes because we were still working on our album.
“The sad thing is we don’t have any backup so we’ve lost everything we’d ever worked on, including other people’s work. They took the disk that had all our songs ready to go for mastering.”
Constable Zanele Mtsweni said a case of housebreaking had been opened. “Promise alleges last Saturday he left his home with all doors and windows closed to go to Venda. On his return, he found his smart plasma TV, black JVC plasma, a desktop PC, two external drives and his clothes stolen.
“The culprits got in by cutting the burglar bars and breaking a window,” she said, adding that Soshanguve police are investigating.
“We ask residents to assist with any useful information that may lead to the suspects’ arrest.”
