DA urges CGE to recommend action against MANANA

The Commission for Gender Equality has been urged to make recommendations to Parliament as well as to the Human Rights Commission on appropriate steps to be taken against deputy Higher Education Mminister Mduduzi Manana.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) says it’s approached the commissions following allegations that Manana assaulted two women at a Fourways night club last weekend as well as the new claims of abuse made by his former secretary.
The woman says that Manana swore at her and threw his cellphone and diary at her.
The opposition party says that it has become increasingly clear that Manana is a menace who has no respect for women and treats them as inferior human beings.
The DA’s Marshall Frederik’s says: “The DA will not stand by and watch as the women in our country continue to suffer in silence.
“The DA is appalled by the recent reports that deputy Minister of Higher Education Mduduzi Manana allegedly mistreated his former secretary as well as other female employees in his department.”
