Boy,aged 4 shot in the head

Boy,aged 4 was shot in the head after a bullet from a suspect gangsters's gun ricocheted.Police say the suspect had fired a shot while police were carrying out crime combating operations in the area.
Taswill Dreyer was playing on the staircase of his Chestnut Place home in Belhar on Saturday when he was hit in the head.
On Monday, doctors at a local hospital removed the bullet from the boy’s head.
Police have since arrested a 20-year-old man on a charge of attempted murder.
Relatives claim the man had been trying to hide the gun from cops when it went off.
On Tuesday, Taswill’s aunt, who didn’t want to be identified, confirmed he had been taken to hospital and that doctors were removing the bullet.
“He was playing outside when he was shot. The man wanted to hide the gun and cocked it and when he tried to hide it, the gun went off and the bullet hit Taswill,” she says.
“You could see the bullet in his head. The doctor said he was lucky because the bullet didn’t hit anything vital.”
Taswill’s mother was at hospital and was not available for comment.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel AndrĂ© Traut, confirms: “In Belhar, police arrested a 20-year-old male on a charge of attempted murder after a shot that he fired ricocheted and wounded a four-year-old boy yesterday.”
Police thanked the community for assisting them.
