#Taxi Boss shot dead

The family of a taxi boss who died in an apparent hit is still in shock!
Njabulo Mzobe (32) from Ndwedwe, north of Durban, was shot dead in Verulam on Wednesday while driving his white Toyota Corolla.
He was with a friend, who was not injured!
Njabulo’s brother Ayanda Mzobe (23) told the People’s Paper that the family was still shocked.
“We don’t know who shot him, and why,” said Ayanda.
“We are going to leave everything in the hands of the police.”
He said his brother owned five taxis that operated in the Verulam area.
Sources told Daily Sun that Njabulo was on his way to a taxi association election when the shooting happened.
But Ayanda didn’t want to confirm or deny this claim.
The SunTeam was told by the source that Njabulo survived another shooting a few months ago.
Ayanda didn’t want to comment on this either.
Mandla Mzelemu, the provincial spokesman for the South African National Taxi Council, said: “We have just heard about the incident and we are in the process of getting more information.”
KZN police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane confirmed that a 32-year-old taxi boss was killed in Verulam.
“The victim was driving his Toyota with a passenger near the CBD when they were approached by a man who opened fire on them,” said Zwane.
“After wounding the victim, the shooter fled the scene.”
The passenger rushed the victim to hospital, but he died before they arrived there.
“The motive is still unknown. Police are currently investigating a murder case,” he said.
