A terrifying incident left police officer dead after being accidentally shot in Kraaifontein.
A colleague was apparently cleaning his firearm when it was accidentally discharged on Wednesday night. The bullet then struck his fellow officer.
The constable died on the scene. Police watchdog independent police investigation directorate is investigating the incident.
