A crash involving a container truck and at least one passenger vehicle has forced the closure of the N1 FW de Klerk Boulevard at Blackriver Parkway near Salt River, Cape Town on Wednesday morning.
It appears the truck overturned, with its massive shipping container falling off its trailer onto a passenger vehicle.
The crash caused major delays as inbound traffic was diverted via Koeberg Interchange through Maitland, Milnerton and Paarden Island.
It was unclear whether or not the crash was fatal. The truck driver sustained serious injuries.
The fate of the occupants of the passenger vehicle was not immediately clear.
