Thabo Hlatshwayo missing

First the minibus disappeared from the driver’s yard on Wednesday.
Then his boss came to collect the driver, took him to the police station and told him to open a case.
And now driver Thabo Hlatshwayo (31) has gone missing too!
His family said they suspected something might have happened to him and they want answers.
They said he kept his boss’ minibus parked in his yard when he was not driving.
His mum, Mamorena Hlatshwayo (63) from Sebo-keng in the Vaal, south of Joburg, said Thabo woke up early on Wednesday as usual to warm up the taxi’s engine and prepare for work.
“When he got outside, he saw the taxi was missing.
“He tried to report it to the taxi boss but he didn’t answer his phone,” she said.
“Thabo then called the cops to report the theft.
“The taxi owner finally called back at about 8am.
“He came to our yard following the news, and said he and Thabo should go to the police station before the cops arrived.
“Moments after they had left, cops arrived.
“We told them Thabo and the owner had gone to the police station.
“The owner apparently dropped him there and told him to report the theft.”
She said she didn’t understand why the owner would let Thabo report the theft in his absence.
“The owner later called Thabo and said he got a call from a woman claiming she had found the minibus’ papers on a street in Soweto.
“They couldn’t find the minibus and Thabo became fearful,” said Mamorena.
She said she left him at home on Saturday but when she returned he wasn’t there anymore.
“His phone is switched off
“Thabo never had issues with anyone.”
Sebokeng police spokesman Captain Teboho Lephoto said a missing person’s case was opened.
“No one has been arrested. The investigation continues,” he said.
