Mother Of Murder CT Woman Lauds Killer's Sentence

A 15-year sentence for the man who murdered Anelisa Dulaze in Khayelitsha has been lauded by her mother.
The Western Cape High Court on Thursday found Monwabisi Mbombo guilty of kidnapping and killing the 21-year-old woman in January last year.
As part of a plea agreement with the State, Mbombo was sentenced to 15 years for murder and five years for kidnapping, which will run concurrently.
Mbombo confessed to killing Dulaze and burying her body under a concrete slab where a block of flats was to be built in Makhaza.
The National Prosecuting Authority’s Eric Ntabazalila says the admission made it easier for the State to conclude the case.
“The accused showed some genuine remorse, which works in his advantage in terms of the plea agreement and sentencing.”
Outside court, the deceased's mother, Vathiswa Dulaze, embraced Mbombo's mother.
“We are feeling the pain together. She is in pain and so am I. We are together now as friends.”
