The fire killed the number of five people in one family, although the cause of a fire is still unknown at this stage and has been reported that the fire incident happened in Nomzamo.
The blaze destroyed five shacks on Friday, leaving 18 people without a home.
Among those killed in the fire were a man, a woman, and three children.
The police’s Andre Traut says, “The death of family of five are being investigated after they succumbed to the fire at their residence at approximately 6 o’clock. A inquest docket has been registered.”
