Shortage of space for learners in Gauteng province.

The MEC of education in Gauteng province Panyaza Lesufi  just reported that there is still lot of work
to do  since more than 18 000 children still in need of space in Gauteng province,that number of children still seek for placement around school in Gauteng.
Early on he told the media in Johannesburg that Gauteng happen to have a high number of school children seeking for the placement in school this year,there is still amount of more than 5 000 of the initials 57 00 that came last year and result as late applications from that there are still more than 10 000 new applications that are in need of space.
The MEC said"we looking into as many options as we could and we as the department will ensure that all learners are fully accommodated before the end of January and we ensure to all Gauteng province that no learner could be chased away and all applications will be fully approved".
Starting from January up until now the department has managed to place the maximum amount 51 000 pupils in school,as the results the number of pupils were high but did not have any choice than to accept extra learners although it was not easy.
Panyaza  Lesufi has taken the matter  to officials hoping and believing that they will come up with the solution regarding learners on the waiting list and those are in need of placement at Gauteng Province.

Lesufi said "the department is busy working on the matter of placing learners  in coming days and surely all learners will be fully approved by end of January,the department will report before the end of this months about the placement of learners and we encourage other learners to continues with their school work".
